dying dyed red hair blonde?
My natural hair color is like a dirty blonde color. For a while now I have been dying my hair red..and have been through several shades of red and I am bored with it really. I would like to get my hair back to a blonde but a different color blonde than my natual hair color. I got a box of blonde dye and put it on last night but it just made the color less red and turned my roots the color I wanted my whole head to be.
My issue is I work in a bank..and I can't have a rediculous hair color. I don't want to bleach my hair if I don't have to but I'm thinking I will. Also if I bleach my hair..will I be able to dye it the shade of blonde that I want right after. I don't want my hair like bleach blonde..and I am assuming I will be able to have bleach blonde hair at the bank but I don't know lol. I'm just having issues.
Its hard to say without being able to see what the current shade is..but i did exactly what your speaking of early last year and recently went back to the red. If your really unsure and want it done in a day..go see a professional. If you still have more red tone than blonde..you do not need to put additional blonde in..it can turn an orange'ish color. You should first try a Light Brown (nice n easy 114 natural light ash brown) or dark blonde (116A natural dark nuetral blonde) ..something that will remove more of the red.. then add the blonde you want..
