I dont actually want to go ahead and take jewelry out when i often hear that tongues can heal over rapidly and this means I would not have the ability to get my jewelry in after work...I only been with them done start of the year so, I will not be happy if I must have it re-done.

I'd an infant 4 days ago and absolutely nothing was stated about my tongue piercing. You shouldnt have to take it i did not with my first or second baby however i would bring it up to midwife incase of complications, should you did need a surgical procedure then you would need to remove it for saftey reasons.
After i had surgery this past year used to do need to take it off however they did allow me to remove it right before being taken lower to op theatre and that i could place it in after it will vary for every person how rapidly it heals up.
