agoda.com Maldives Super Summer Deals From USD 119 Per Night

agoda.com, Asia’s global hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq: PCLN), has secured some unbelievable rates for the Maldives.

Located in the Indian Ocean just south of Sri Lanka, the Maldives are about as idyllic as islands get. With crystalline seas, white sand beaches, swaying palms, and colorful coral reefs, the Maldives are also home to some of the world's most beautiful and luxurious resorts.

What many travelers don't realize is that a Maldives holiday can be done affordably. Luxury overwater villas that command a premium rate in the high season can be booked during the low period for a fraction of their usual price. Some three- and four-star properties offer all-inclusive promotions for less than USD 150 per night.

Though summer in the Maldives brings increased rain showers and winds from May to September, these stunning coral islands still experience long stretches of fine weather. Mean temperatures aren't much different to those of the peak season, and although the sun is generally less intense, there's still plenty of it – an average of 200 hours per month – around six hours of sunshine per day.

Diving is also still possible. Although visibility is reduced a little, dives are less crowded and divers have a better chance of seeing more timid species of fish. The benefits of low season can also be enjoyed at resorts, where beaches are quieter, restaurants more intimate, and staff more attentive.

All agoda.com bookings earn customers Rewards Points, so a summer holiday in the Maldives now can earn savings to reduce the cost of bookings in the future.

Must-have rock albums?

I'm 13 and I'm starting a CD collection. I love classic rock and heavy metal. Some of my fave bands are AC/DC, Boston, and Van Halen. Do you guys have any albums to reccomend that must be in a CD collection like mine?

Oh and F.Y.I., I HATE THE BEATLES (sorry 98% of listeners), I'm not much on the southern rock side (Allman Bros., Molly Hatchet, etc.), and I don't like anything too thrashy like Metallica or Megadeth. Albums I already have are:

Boston - Boston (my all-time favorite album)
ZZ Top - Eliminator
AC/DC - Back in Black
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Rush - Moving Pictures (some great stuff on there)

...and some ones I burned myself with that sort of music on it. These are the albums I was thinking about buying:

Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood
Europe - The Final Countdown
Scorpions - Blackout
Edgar Winter - They Only Come Out at Night
VAN HALEN ALBUMS (leaning towards Best of Both Worlds set)

I appreciate any suggestions!

okay...you're 13??? you've got a great start on what's the shizznick in rock already...your parents should be commended on giving you the head's up on what's what in rock. good job, mom & dad!

okay, here are a few that i would think you must have:

every single ac/dc album...don't just get a few. you must start from the beginning and get it all. you'll appreciate how this incredible band never wavers, never holds back, and never loses their fire for rock. even now as they are older, they still kick some serious buttocks.

black sabbath...every album. even the ones with ronnie james dio as singer. you haven't rocked until you listened to this band. ozzy is my favorite and i would suggest the first one you acquire is 'black sabbath' then go to 'paranoid' for the second. the first one is my person fave.

tesla...'Mechanical resonance' is their best, then get 'the great radio controversy' and then 'five man acoustical jam'. these guys rock so severely and are one of the best bands ever to see preform live (right up there with ac/dc live)

led zeppelin...what more can i say? to truly get a good picture of what this band is all about and to really get to know how they progress thoughout their years, you must get the first album first. then move on with all the rest in chronilogical succession. don't rush through them is all i'm trying to say. really spend time with each one. if you love the blues, folk, and traditional lore music, you'll love how these guys applied all of that to their unique and very definitely hard core sound. enjoy!

cream...one of the best three man bands ever. i would get 'fresh cream' first, then the rest. 'disraeli gears' was quite exellent, too. jack bruce, eric clapton, and ginger baker only pulled out 4 albums in literally 4 years, but they made a huge inpact on rock in their day. the music is just as fresh now as it was then. it totally still rocks.

heart....anne and nancy wilson to this day rock like a hurricane!! (i've seen heart 5 times and the 6th comes in september in troutdale, oregon...i have front row researved seats for me and my four year old daughter--who's seen them twice already--and i am so excited that i can't even stand it they are so good live!) you really must own 'little queen', 'magazine', 'dreamboat annie', 'dog and butterfly', and 'bebe le strange'. this band kicks major buttocks.

anthrax 'among the living'
prince and the revolution 'puple rain'
rolling stones 'sticky fingers'
kiss 'love gun'
the band (i would first get 'the last waltz' documentary by martin scorsese--it was filmed thanksgiving day, november 25, 1976, at the winterland ballroom in san francisco. you'll get the picture of what an amaizing group of guys they are and how they have been 'the band' for so many artists like bob dylan, neil young & ronnie hawkins to name a few. they have literally played for the best and still are friends to every importand name in rock to this day.

pink floyd...don't go right into 'the wall'. you need to start off with 'echoes' and then 'animals'. then bounce around with their other stuff. this is one of my favorite bands in the world and they are so prolific, that it is hard to decide which decade they rocked harder. 'echoes' is the best. try that one first. for that matter, get the movie 'pink floyd, live at pompeii' it was a live and up close and personal documentary of the band in the young prime and the music is two tons of concrete rock music--even the slower songs are very weighty!! you'll see what i'm talking about when you experience it. you'll be showing all of your friends after that first viewing and blowing their adolescent minds to the maximoneous. for sure, my young friend.

(wait...while i'm on the scene, let's talk about a few rock doc's & movies that are a Must See... pink floyd 'the wall', the beatles 'help' and yellow submarine', varied artists--'american pop' & 'heavy metal', george harrison's 'concert for bangladesh', varied artists 'monterey pop' & 'woodstock' --this year marks the 40 year mark for woodstock and the concert at monterey was 2 years prior in 1967....good stuff right there, dude.)

now, let's get some 'best of...' albums. here are a few you should have because either the artis is so prolific in their music that it would be too expensive to obtain each of their albums, or that the artist just had a few great hits on a number of albums...just trying to save you a litte dough, bro......
