Man with samurai sword shot and killed (Florida Times-Union)
A man wielding a samurai sword was shot and killed late Friday when we he
tried to break into his neighbor’s home.
The incident occurred close to midnight on Friday at the a retirement complex
in the 9200 block of San Jose Boulevard.
Police did not identify the deceased or the shooter, but said the deceased was
64-years-old and the shooter is 69-years-old. Authorities said the deceased
man suffered from mental illness and while the investigation was in the early
stages the shooting appeared to be justifiable.
