If the flying dutchman's video caught your eye, you may be disappointed to
find out the production was a hoax.
The pretender told the world his name was Jarno Smeets. He also claimed the
design for his wings was based off Leonardo Da Vinci's vitruvian man and that
his work as a mechanical engineer led him to figuring out the secret to
flight. MSNBC explains the design:
**"In the video, he straps on a contraption that supposedly syncs the motion
of his flapping arms to that of a huge pair of wings made of kite fabric,
allowing him to flap the wings and take off into the air."**
When experts on CGI and film started finding inconsistencies in the video, the
trickster came clean on the Dutch TV show "The World is Turning." Wired
provides a translation.
**"My name is Floris Kaayk I'm actually a filmmaker and animator. I am now 8
months working on an experiment about online media.."**
Kaayk said he attempted the hoax because, "it's everybody's dream to fly."
That's probably why the video had more than 4 million views on YouTube. But
Gizmodo ...
What does it say under and above of the drawing of the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitruvian_Man
i need the exact words that are written on the drawing
"The navel is naturally placed in the centre of the human body, and, if in a man lying with his face upward, and his hands and feet extended, from his navel as the centre, a circle be described, it will touch his fingers and toes. It is not alone by a circle, that the human body is thus circumscribed, as may be seen by placing it within a square. For measuring from the feet to the crown of the head, and then across the arms fully extended, we find the latter measure equal to the former; so that lines at right angles to each other, enclosing the figure, will form a square."? I saw this on the link you provided..Im not so sure of it but i know this is what it meant in the phrases above and below the Vitruvinian Man.
